Stroll Through Bearizona

Stroll Through Bearizona

Self Guided Walking Tour

Visitors will walk through Fort Bearizona, located directly after the drive-through portion of the park. In this area, guests leisurely stroll through winding walkways to get an up-close look at the antics of baby and smaller animals on exhibit.

Interpretive signage is located throughout for guests to learn more about each animal. There is also the “Bearizona Barnyard” petting zoo, a Mine Shaft Experience which houses some nocturnal animals as well as some creepy, crawly critters and a unique exhibit which houses kindergarten bears not quite old enough to go into our adult enclosure.

This exhibit has a very distinctive feature where visitors can walk into a cave which leads them to a large viewing glass of the bears den!

Keeper Chat

See an animal up-close and talk to an animal keeper about how that species lives in the wild, what it eats, how it fits in the ecosystem, and more.

Although only the keeper touches the animals, this is an opportunity to see individual animals up close. Featured animals you could see at a trail side encounter include: Ferrets, Prairie Dogs, Opossum, Invertebrates, Reptiles.
