Burmese Python

Meet Cuddles & Snuggles

Burmese pythons are one of the largest snakes in the world.

Invasive Species

These pythons are native to the marshes of Southeast Asia where they are well adapted to live. They are also popular as pets. Unfortunately, sometimes people are overwhelmed by their care requirements and end up releasing them into the wilds of Florida, where they are also well adapted to live. Burmese pythons began to thrive in Florida and outcompete native species, becoming an invasive species that must be managed by local wildlife agencies.
