These nocturnal mammals roam all over North America. They hunt at night, so they are not seen by humans very often. You can tell our bobcats apart by looking at their markings. Sig has very pronounced lines on his shoulder blades, while Remi, has more muted colorings.
Did You Know?
Bobcats are named after their tails which appear to be “bobbed.” They also have spots on the back of their ears to deter predators and make them think they are looking at them even though their head is turned.
